Mother of Pearl Inlay

I came across the following article in my news feed and thought it may be of interest to members.

http://www.woodworkingnetwork.com/wood/components-sourcing/mother-pearl-wood-filler-gives-crevices-glowing-look?utm_source=Real_Magnet&utm_medium=Email&utm_term=keith.larrett@gmail.com&utm_content=DAILY%20BRIEF&utm_campaign=Wood%20glows%20with%20inlay

The article describes a new inlay by Imaginlay which consists of baked and crushed mother of pearl.  It looks like it could be a great option for those wanting to add an inlay to their work.

Don Geiger Demonstration

Don Geiger will be demonstrating at the next club meeting on February 9th, 2015.  His demonstration will be on Form and Foot.

Below is a description of the demonstration he plans to do:

“The difference between good and great can be infinitesimal. In golf, it is usually a difference of about one stroke. In woodturning, it can be a minor flaw or a form that is not carried out to its fullest potential. The focus of this demonstration is to broaden one’s understanding of how to create good forms and not let your equipment limit your result.
A natural-edge bowl, from a green wood blank, will be turned during this demonstration.”
